Each year The Heatonist celebrate their anniversary of their Brooklyn shop opening by partnering with one of their favourite makers to craft something totally new. The Heatonist team looks at what's happening in the bigger culinary world to seek inspiration for a sauce that has never been tried before. For year No. 4 they take a traditional sauce, piri piri, and pull it in a new direction by pairing it with the savoury umami flavours of Lion's Mane mushroom. The result is a super flavourful sauce at once boldly unique and satisfyingly familiar. Try it on grilled chicken, pizza, a sandwich, anything!
